We worked on a design for an earring stand over the week-end. I should have had a little better idea of what I needed but the boys got involved and the project got carried away. The next thing that happened is that I have a stand with two cross bars. I have no idea how I will be able to use it. This is why prototypes are done. We’ll continue to work on more prototypes until we get it right. One of the things I’ve been thinking about is displays on the table. I don’t have any idea as to what to expect for our ComFest store. But with regard to the table, I understand that it’s best to have layers. At my last craft show outing, I had a couple layers. My four by eight table was covered with an off white piece of drapery lining. There were two bricks right in the center of the table that supported a eight or ten inch wide board. That was covered with a gorgeous drapery fabric to form a layer on which more jewelry could be displayed. When selling jewelry, mirrors are essential. So on either end of the table were matching mirrors. Then I neatly arranged my inventory on the two layers. It was a nice, thoughtfully done display with lots of room for growth.
